Registration is required before Friday, October 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM
Payment In Full In Advance Only
Registration fee includes instruction, reference materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and break refreshments. Event photos will be used for association purposes.
Registration cancellations will be accepted until Friday, October 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM
Cancellation Policy:
A $20.00 administration fee, per day, will be subtracted from all conference refunds of registration payments for written cancellation requests received on or before 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th. After this date, no refunds will be made. Substitutions will be accepted by contacting the Treasurer at treasurer@cela1.org by Monday, October 19, 2026.

Emotional Intelligence for Code Enforcement Officers

This course explores the role of emotional intelligence in effective code enforcement. Officers will learn practical strategies for managing emotions, communicating with professionalism, de-escalating difficult interactions, and building positive relationships with the public while maintaining fairness, consistency, and accountability. 


 


Bullfrogs Before Breakfast: Case and Time Management 
 .5 CEUs

Prioritizing What Matters Most 
Taking inspiration from the productivity principle “eat the frog,” this course helps Code professionals manage their caseloads more efficiently and with less stress. Participants will learn strategies for prioritizing high-impact tasks, creating daily workflows, and tackling difficult assignments early to maximize productivity. The course includes real-world planning templates, field-tested time-blocking methods, and a focus on reducing burnout while increasing results. 

Civic Responsibilities of Code Enforcement

.35 CEUs

This course examines the civic responsibilities of Code Enforcement Officers and their role in protecting public health, safety, and community standards. Officers will explore professionalism, fairness, ethical decision-making, public service, and effective communication while enforcing codes consistently and respectfully. 

CONTINUING EDUCATION All ACEA courses are approved and recognized by the International Code Council Preferred Provider Network (ICCPPN) towards maintenance of your ICC certifications. Check with your local licensing board for additional CEU requirements.
